Cette transcription en japonais moderne est issue du livre de Yoshio Imamura, publié en avril 1995 : « Shiryô Yagyû Shinkage-Ryû (Vol. 2) » ( 史料 柳生 新陰流 (下巻) ), dont elle occupe environ les 70 premières pages (Pages 9 à 80). The « tsuki no sho » is a strategic and philosophical treatise speaking especially about kenjutsu (technique of warrior fighting with the sword), written by one of the most famous swordsman in the history of Japan : Yagyû Jûbei Mitsuyoshi (1607 – 1650).
